First appointment to Ministerial post in December 2004 as Minister of Culture, Tourism, Public Service Commission and Ombudsman.

· Chief Executive Officer of the Prime Minister’s Office for 2 and half years.

Attended various parliamentary conferences & ministerial meetings.
Chairman for the Rakahanga Community in Rarotonga;
Former Chairman of the Avatea Primary School and Tereora College, Parents and Teachers Association.
Attended Aitutaki Junior High School and Tereora College.
Mr Piho Rua is married to Iki (nee Ngatoko) and they have two children; Allan (son) and Emma (daughter).
