Mama Ngai and her husband own and operate a very successful family business, a village shop since 1974.

President of the Takuvaine Sports and Cultural Association five years; Kumiti Oire Vaka Te- Au-O-Tonga. Mama Ngai and her husband Papa Tupa sponsor many church, youth, sports and community activities and programs in Takuvaine and Tutakimoa.

Attended St. Joseph Catholic Primary School.
Personal:
Mama Ngai is married to Tupa Urirau Tupa and they have 11 children of their own plus six feeding children. They have many grandchildren.
