Education:
Hon. Tangata Vavia began his primary education on his home island of Mitiaro then continued in Rarotonga at Avarua, Nikao and Nikao Side School. From 1964 to 1968 he attended Tereora College for secondary school education.
1998 Diploma in Public Management.
Personal:
Hon. Tangata Vavia is married to Linda (nee Powell) from Rarotonga and they have four (4) children.
